Vybz Kartel and Mavado will be bringing their Gaza vs Gully show to The O2

Tomorrow night is gearing up to be a date in Dancehall history, as, for the first time, two Jamaican legends Vybz Kartel and Mavado will be bringing their Gaza vs Gully show to The O2 on Wednesday 9th September 2026. The O2 currently lists the show as on sale, with doors opening at 6:30pm.

The original Gaza vs Gully showdown at the Sting music festival in Jamaica in 2006 is considered one of the most iconic lyrical battles in dancehall history. Nearly two decades later, the rivalry has shifted from a feud to a collaborative celebration of dancehall, reggae and Caribbean culture.

The London show also comes just before Freedom Street Europe in Malta, taking place from 10th–13th September, making it the perfect start to what is set to be a major week for dancehall fans. The pair are also set to headline the Malta event.

Fans can also expect to hear some of the classics that have helped define both artists’ careers. Vybz Kartel’s extensive catalogue includes Pon Di Gaza 2.0, which features the legendary “Love Dem/Gallis Anthem”, as well as fan favourites including “Bicycle” and “Nah Let Go”. His Dancehall Hero catalogue also includes some of the tracks that have become staples among Gaza fans.

For Mavado, fans can expect classics from Mr. Brooks…A Better Tomorrow, his 2009 album featuring “So Special” and “Gangsters Don’t Play”, alongside some of the other records that have cemented his place as one of dancehall’s most recognisable voices.

Limited tickets are still available via The O2 website here.
