Quadeca has officially stepped into his next era with “Dark Magic,” his first release of 2026. Released through his label X8 Music, the track arrives alongside a self directed video made with longtime collaborator Brendon Burton following his recent performance at Kilby Block Party.
While Vanisher, Horizon Scraper felt cinematic and atmospheric, “Dark Magic” takes a completely different approach. It is chaotic, strange, and impossible to predict.
The video opens with distorted breathing, heavy guitars, and a naked Quadeca inside a barn carrying a floating orb made from his own limbs. Just as the visual starts to feel unsettling, everything suddenly shifts. Soft electric piano chords take over as Quadeca quietly drinks coffee outside a tiny wooden house attached to a pickup truck driving through rural South Carolina.
From there, the video turns into a surreal road trip. Locals begin following the moving house while carrying furniture through the woods, slowly building toward a bizarre outdoor celebration filled with medals, cheering, and absurd humor.
The final scene might be the strangest moment of all. Quadeca walks through the Hollywood Walk of Fame holding the orb before climbing a stepladder and lifting it above his head while crowds pass by without paying any attention.
Funny, unsettling, and completely unpredictable, “Dark Magic” feels like Quadeca fully embracing chaos and making it his own.
