Tyla Releases Highly Anticipated New Single “Is It”

South African superstar TYLA is turning up the heat this summer with the release of her sizzling new single “IS IT,” out now across all platforms alongside a sultry, high-energy music video. Teased earlier this week on social media, the track signals the next phase in TYLA’s global domination as she launches into a #WEWANNAPARTY season.

Produced by Sammy Soso and directed by longtime collaborator Aerin Moreno, “IS IT” is a flirtatious, Amapiano-infused dance anthem laced with desire and bold choreography. TYLA delivers the line “Is it wrong that I want to get right with you?” with signature intensity, locking eyes with the camera while executing magnetic moves that fans are already racing to replicate.

The visual, helmed by Moreno, who also directed TYLA’s acclaimed “Push 2 Start” video, offers a rich, immersive party experience. In it, TYLA moves seamlessly from seductive solo choreography to steamy partner work and a full-blown club scene, all within a single, shape-shifting setting. “I’m excited to see this new version of me and hear what it sounds like and just have fun with it — just bring back fun in music,” TYLA recently told NYLON.

The new single adds to a string of major moments for TYLA in 2025. She’s been a fixture on red carpets and festival stages alike, with standout appearances at the Met Gala, Coachella, Governors Ball, and as host of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. Her collaborations have also kept momentum high, including campaigns with Pandora, Erewhon, and most recently, Coca-Cola, which featured her song “Bliss” in its summer “Road Trip” commercial.

TYLA’s global appeal was cemented with a record-breaking performance for 55,000 fans at Poland’s Open’er Festival earlier this month. She’s next slated to headline the Tipsy Music Festival in Barbados and will perform at London’s All Points East on August 23. Adding to her pop culture impact, she also contributed “Everything Goes Blue” to the soundtrack of Smurfs, the animated film starring Rihanna and James Corden, set to hit theatres this month.

With “IS IT,” TYLA reclaims the dance floor and reinforces her place at the centre of the summer soundscape — and she’s just getting started.
