Hayden Everett Releases New Single ‘Angela’

HAYDEN EVERETT

Seattle-based indie-folk singer-songwriter Hayden Everett kicks off the year with ‘Angela’, the first single from his forthcoming debut album So The Sun Can Pour, due Spring 2026. Anthemic and instantly catchy, the track is a light-hearted yet pointed critique of Los Angeles—part satire, part sincere love letter—reflecting Everett’s own love-hate relationship with the city.

Known for his sharp, poetic writing, Everett explores contradiction and duality throughout the song, touching on politics, privilege, and longing, while hinting at the album’s wider themes of balance, emotion, and transformation. “Summer needs winter. Joy needs sorrow,” he explains. “So let it rain so the sun can pour.”

Mixed by Tucker Martine, the album draws heavily on Everett’s connection to nature. Much of it was written while solo backpacking during his time living and working in Glacier National Park, giving the project a sense of openness and quiet reflection.

Following a strong response to his EP Friends & Family, Everett steps into 2026 as a rising voice within the indie-folk scene.
