Congratulations on the release of ‘Jealousy’! Can you tell us about the inspiration behind this new single?
I wrote “Jealousy” after being rejected by others for having a vision for myself. People would try to make me feel bad for wanting to follow a dream, trying to keep me down, hold me back, and make me feel that I’m not worthy of success. That’s when “Jealousy” was created.
Your music often carries an infectiously optimistic spirit. How do you maintain this positivity in your songwriting, especially during tough moments?
I like to turn a negative into a positive. Even if a song contains lyrics that are quite poignant, I always try to create some hope. There are two sides to a coin, a yin and yang. It’s important that listeners understand there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Things will get better if you want it enough.
You’ve achieved significant success with two #1 hits on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart and Top 30 hits on the Official Singles Sales Chart. How does it feel to reach these milestones?
Incredible. Absolutely incredible. There’s also a level of redemption. I’ve worked so hard to get to this point, and I aim to continue creating my art for the world to hear.
‘Jealousy’ features a blend of dance-pop, pop-rock drums, and gritty guitar textures. How did you decide on this unique mix for the song’s sound?
I took inspiration from some of my musical heroes, those who have inspired me through my childhood and present. I chose sounds that make my ears happy, give a feeling of freedom, and make me want to dance.
You mentioned that music is both a form of therapy and a spiritual outlet for you. Can you elaborate on how writing and performing helps you purge negative energy?
Just like how going to the gym can free some people’s minds and give them strength, this is the exact same feeling but with music. It’s a release. In turn, listeners can feel my emotions through performing, relate to my lyrics, and it helps them in their own situations and lives. This gives me hope and focus to continue what I’m doing and cast out negative energies.
Your lyrics often turn life’s tough moments into songs of hope and empowerment. Can you share a specific instance where this approach helped you overcome a challenge?
Being in the public eye and on social media platforms, although they bring positivity and help you find your audience, they also bring unwanted attention from envious eyes. I have been bullied online. Instead of allowing this to stop me, I turned isolated, sorrowful feelings into strength. Strength to fight.
‘Jealousy’ is a song that dismisses the haters and celebrates self-authenticity. What message do you hope listeners take away from it?
I hope that listeners take a feeling of hope and strength from “Jealousy.” A knowing that they are worthy of success and that there is nothing wrong with wanting to better yourself. You are worthy.

You have a diverse range of musical influences, from Alanis Morissette to David Bowie. How have these artists shaped your musical style?
All of these amazing and popular artists have a unique sound. I have listened to them in many different emotional states and established for myself what sounds best describe an emotion. Then, I blended them together to create my style.
Your social media presence, especially on TikTok, has been a major part of your growing popularity. How do you engage with your followers, and what impact has this had on your career?
I perform live on TikTok daily and speak directly with my followers. TikTok and my tribe have been a major support. I went from someone with nothing but a dream to someone with a dream within reach. I’m very grateful for every one of them.
The production of ‘Jealousy’ involved working with Dan Clark, known for his work with Liam Payne and Sigrid. What was it like collaborating with him on this track?
Dan is such a talented gentleman and producer. We have fun and work so well together. He sees my vision every time, and every time the result is magnificent. I’m very lucky to work with such a talented human being.
Your love for spoken word poetry adds a unique element to your lyrics. Can you discuss how poetry influences your songwriting process?
Poetry is depth. A bit like an onion, it has so many layers and meanings the deeper you go. It is art. Poetry gives me the freedom to express myself; put it to music, and you have a song. A wonderful expression of real-life experiences through sound.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future, and how do you plan to continue evolving as an artist?
I plan to continue to release singles until I have enough to create an EP or album. I aim to tour and perform on large festival stages. I would love the opportunity to be signed.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring artists who are trying to find their own path in the music industry?
Keep going, hold on to your authentic self, and allow your art to speak for itself. Do not give up. You are worthy of success.
