GRAMMY®-nominated and multi-platinum rap superstar Offset returns with a hard-hitting new summer anthem, “Bodies” featuring J.I.D. Produced by Vinylz and FNZ, the track features a standout sample from Drowning Pool’s 2001 nu-metal classic, “Bodies” — reimagined with a modern hip-hop twist.
The release is accompanied by a cinematic and fashion-forward music video, creative directed by Offset, edited by Mikey Rare, and styled by SheShe Pendleton.
Offset describes the track as a personal and powerful statement:
“‘Bodies’ is one of them ones I had to really take my time with. It’s about standing on who you are, coming out the mud, and being confident in the face of adversity. I’m always evolving, and I don’t fit in a box as an artist. I’ve been cooking this up for a minute and I’m just getting started. J.I.D. is my guy and had the perfect energy to match ‘Bodies.’ Stay tuned because we going up.”
Built over haunting choir vocals and an eerie piano loop, “Bodies” blends rock and rap energy with Offset’s razor-sharp lyricism. Bars like “I got choices this shit look like crayons … I fold a million dollars in two pockets…” highlight Offset’s signature blend of ambition and swagger. Meanwhile, J.I.D. delivers a fiercely dynamic verse, adding lyrical depth and intensity.
The “Bodies” music video, shot in Los Angeles, amplifies the track’s dramatic tone with surreal and symbolic imagery. Offset commands attention on a desert runway surrounded by high-fashion models, a candlelit choir, and cult-like followers. J.I.D. appears flanked by a grim reaper as Offset is crowned on an ornate throne, blurring the line between art and performance.
“Bodies” follows Offset’s recent releases, including the icy Valentine’s Day single “TEN” and his guest appearance on Hot Ones, where he discussed his solo artistry and growing interest in acting. To close out 2024, Offset surprised fans with “Celebration,” a collaboration with Juice WRLD from The Party Never Ends, and his hypnotic single “Swing My Way,” featuring a visually stunning video starring supermodel Anok Yai, directed by Kid Art.
With “Bodies,” Offset continues to redefine his solo era—fusing Atlanta rap roots with bold experimentation, visual storytelling, and fearless self-expression.
