Precious Pepala Unveils Hypnotic Breakup Single “Love Bombs”

Welcoming the new year following a momentous 12 months; performing across the country at various festivals including The Great Escape, as well as supporting hit-maker Victor Ray on his UK tour, Precious Pepala has been preparing her 361,000 monthly Spotify listeners for her latest breakup anthem,“Love Bombs” set to feature on her highly anticipated EP, ‘Rosey’ dropping later this year.

Accumulating over 13 million streams on Spotify in the past year, Sheffield-hailing Precious Pepala has quickly become a one-to-watch artist with a cult-like following. Journeying on from November’s release “Dream Cheater”, Pepala’s latest single“Love Bombs” is the ultimate post-breakup anthem. Questioning the foundations of a recent relationship gone sour, Precious queries its authenticity as she battles with the concept of “love bombing”. Continuing to boast her sharp-yet-relatable lyricism, “Love Bombs” is layered with dark seductive strings and an irresistible percussion that instantly captures your attention. Paired with her signature silky vocals and daring pengame, its Pop undertones make up the perfect cinematic anthem for vengeance. Taking listeners on a journey through infatuation, toxic flattery and heartbreak, Rosey finds herself abandoned by the person who made her believe. Inspired by her first experiences in the music industry and how she was left stranded after being sold the dream by a record label, Precious Pepala decided to disguise the real story behind the more universally relatable theme of romance. Reputed for merging the roaring sounds of Rock with modern-day soundscapes, Precious Pepala’s innovation marks a new age of artists who aren’t afraid to push the blueprint into something never seen before.

The EP ‘Rosey’ is the story of a toxic relationship which ultimately ends in the death of both lovers. It follows the character Rosey who falls in love and ignores the red flags and warnings from her friends. When asked about the release, Precious Pepala stated, “I knew I wanted to write some songs about romance and love. I’ve grown up a bit, I’ve had relationships, I’ve been in love, I think, and I’ve experienced the good and bad parts of those things. In a world where social media, dating apps and the internet causes more toxicity, jealousy and friction than ever in relationships I wanted to explore some of the more bleak realities of romance instead of writing a bunch of wishy washy love songs. Some people might hear the songs on this EP and think I’m crazy or toxic, which maybe I am, but I think if most people are honest, they’ve either been like Rosey or had a friend like Rosey before, just without the fatal ending hopefully!”
