PRODUCER/SONGWRITER, YODELICE RELEASES DYSTOPIAN NEW VIDEO FOR THE TITLE RACK TO HIS LATEST ALBUM, ‘WHAT’S THE CURE?”

Following the release of his recent album, ‘What’s The Cure?’, producer and songwriter Yodelice has today released a stunning new video for the title track.

A perfect calling card for the album, ‘What’s The Cure?’ is a powerful slice of post-punk infused electro rock, the track takes aim at the digitally induced paranoia that seems to be flooding our society. The video uses a mix of performance and animation to draw on dystopian fiction, such as Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave New World, to explore the themes of the song.

Already a lauded talent at home in France, Yodelice (AKA Maxime Nucci) has been inspired by the austere post-punk and synth music of his student days (think Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Cabaret Voltaire) and the chameleonic musical polymath has crafted an album that conjures up a rain sodden urban landscape where all of humanities loves and loses can found.

Emerging in 2009 with the more folk-laced ‘Tree of Life’, Yodelice quickly established himself as both an emotionally literate singer/songwriter and a keen-eared producer. More albums followed and demand for his production work increased, with bouts working with the late Johnny Hallyday (AKA the French Elvis) and the critically acclaimed Jain.

Following 2022’s critically acclaimed album ‘The Circle’, Yodelice wanted to branch into new musical territories, and a nascent friendship with French Industrial techno producer Gesaffelstein inspired him to explore the world of analogue rhythms and noirish synth. The result of this musical journey is the stunning new album ‘What’s The Cure?’
