McQueen AW26 Campaign Brings Seán McGirr’s Dark Cinematic Vision to Life

McQueen has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, and rather than simply presenting the collection, the House turns it into a cinematic study of identity, power and desire. Captured by acclaimed photographer Glen Luchford under the creative direction of Seán McGirr, the campaign explores the tension between polished appearances and raw human instinct.

Featuring Karen Elson, Paloma Elsesser, Jacqui Hooper and Xiao Wen, the cast bridges different eras of McQueen, reinforcing the House’s long-standing fascination with strength, individuality and theatrical storytelling. Rather than relying on spectacle alone, the imagery focuses on emotion, with each portrait feeling intimate yet quietly confrontational.

The collection itself continues McGirr’s sharp tailoring direction. Precise Savile Row-inspired jackets are contrasted with fluid silk georgette eveningwear, while intricate lace and trompe l’oeil feather embroidery introduce texture that invites a closer look. The result is unmistakably McQueen: rigorous tailoring softened by sensual craftsmanship and an undercurrent of dark romance.

Rather than chasing seasonal trends, the campaign reinforces what McQueen has always represented—fashion that sits between discipline and rebellion, where craftsmanship becomes emotion and tailoring becomes a form of storytelling. It’s a confident continuation of Seán McGirr’s evolving vision for one of Britain’s most influential luxury houses.
