Ahluwalia Spring/Summer 2027

There was something instantly uplifting about Ahluwalia SS27 at Rosewood London.

For SS27, Priya Ahluwalia presents ‘Revel’, a collection about choosing lightness, joy and togetherness — translated through colour, movement and plenty of attitude. The denim look was one of my favourites. A relaxed denim jacket paired with matching shorts feels simple, but the contrast stitching gives it just enough detail. Styled with the blue Ahluwalia x PUMA trainers, the whole look is incredibly clean. The shoes don’t feel like an afterthought; they complete the outfit.

And the PUMA collaboration goes beyond footwear this season. The partnership expands into football jerseys, jacquard knit polos, a reworked T7 track jacket, a unisex tracksuit and long knitted dresses with engineered fringe, alongside two new trainer silhouettes. Then there was the leather look — black leather layered over a bold red, white and black print. It brings a slightly retro energy, while the styling keeps it feeling fresh. The collection’s leather references 1970s construction, while fringe is reworked across tailoring and knitwear.

For womenswear, the blue fringed mini dress brought movement to the runway, while the electric-blue satin look gave the collection a more sensual moment. What I particularly liked was the contrast throughout. Tough leather and denim sit alongside soft organza, draping and knitwear, while earthy creams and browns are broken up by flashes of red, blue and green.

Ahluwalia SS27 doesn’t overcomplicate the idea of joy. It simply makes it wearable.

And honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you want from fashion.
